SUEZ Surrey joins national fight against "zombie batteries" in bid to tackle waste and recycling fires

SUEZ Surrey supports the new national Take Charge campaign, which urges consumers to "join the fight against Zombie batteries" and help tackle the growing number of fires caused by carelessly discarded dead batteries, which should never be thrown away alongside general rubbish or other recycling.
COVID-19: Commissioning works to resume

In line with the recent government guidance encouraging a safe return to work, commissioning and construction works will resume at the Eco Park beginning 15 May 2020. Residents will again notice steam from the chimney and landscaping machinery operating on-site as earthworks begin.
Phased reopening of community recycling centres - 11 May 2020

Following an initial period of closure in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Eco Park community recycling centre will reopen on Monday 11 May for garden waste and black bag (general) household waste only. Residents should only visit the CRC if they cannot safely store their waste at home and it is becoming a safety hazard or health risk.
Please check www.surreycc.gov.uk for the latest information before travelling as opening hours and materials accepted are subject to change.
Surrey Community Recycling Centres closed in response to COVID-19

Following the latest government guidance, all 15 community recycling centres in Surrey have been temporarily closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Revive reuse shops are also closed until further notice.

First donation from Charlton Lane Revive shop

In November 2019, the first charity donation was made from the proceeds of the newly opened Charlton Lane Revive shop. The charity chosen by customers of the shop was Princess Alice Hospice in Esher which received £1,821.11. The hospice later received a donation from the Leatherhead shop, making a combined donation of over £3,700 which will go towards providing compassionate end of life care and support for families and their loved ones.
